NURCHA is an innovative development finance company that provides Bridging Finance and Construction Support Services to Contractors and Developers.
 
We finance and support the construction of Subsidy and Affordable Housing, Infrastructure and Community Facilities. We also provide Account Administration,Project and Programme  Management Services to Local and Provincial Authorities.
 
NURCHA is funded by the South African Government in partnership with the Soros Foundation, various overseas donors and other commercial lenders.

To qualify for a bridging finance loan from NURCHA, you must have a valid and viable contract with a recognised employer in the public or private sector.

NURCHA Provides The Following Services:


CONSTRUCTION FINANCE AND SUPPORT

NURCHA is specifically geared to provide project finance for contractors who cannot easily access finance from conventional financial institutions.

  • We require little or no collateral for construction finance – as long as the project is viable.

  • We do not disqualify contractors on the basis of their credit records provided that the enterprise is a solvent, legal training entity.

Each contractor has unique needs and levels of experience. Some require more management and support than others. NURCHA assesses the needs of the contractor, as well as the risks associated with the project and structures the loan accordingly.

We place a very high premium on the viability of projects and will only finance projects which in our assessment are viable and profitable for the contractor. Fees and interest rates are determined according to the amount of risk management and support required by the contractor.

NURCHA assigns experienced and qualified construction professionals to administer the loan facility, monitor the progress and to generally advise contractors on implementing their projects.

PROGRAMME AND FUND MANAGEMENT

NURCHA provides Account Administration, Project and Programme Management Services for local and provincial authorities. By engaging NURCHA in their planning and implementing processes, public authorities improve their ability to execute projects successfully.

NURCHA also assists public authorities and private construction enterprises with the design and implementation of Contractor and Enterprise Development Programmes.

AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT FINANCE

NURCHA provides bridging finance loans to qualifying developers who undertake Affordable Housing projects.

These projects include:

  • The development of serviced sites.
  • The construction of entry level bonded housing.

NURCHA will lend developers up to 80% of the peak working capital required. The remaining percentage will be provided for by the developer.

  • The developer is required to provide tangible security for the full loan amount.
